About Working with Plant and Animal Medicines
At Seed & Soul Ministries, we approach plant and animal medicines with reverence, humility, and deep respect for the spiritual traditions from which many of these practices emerge. Within our community, these medicines are not viewed as recreational substances, but as sacred elements that may support prayer, reflection, healing, insight, and personal transformation when approached with sincerity, care, and discernment.
Our ministry recognizes that, across cultures and generations, sacred medicines have been used in ceremonial and spiritual contexts to foster connection to the divine, deepen self-understanding, and encourage a more harmonious relationship with life. We honor these lineages with gratitude and seek to engage this work in a way that is prayerful, ethical, and grounded in responsibility.
Working with sacred medicines is, in our view, a deeply intentional practice. It calls for preparation, spiritual maturity, honest self-assessment, and respect for the intensity and vulnerability that ceremonial experiences can involve. For this reason, our community emphasizes clear intentions, supportive structure, and thoughtful integration. We believe the value of ceremony is not only found in the experience itself, but also in the reflection, embodiment, and compassionate action that follow.
Seed & Soul Ministries is committed to creating a culture of care around all ceremonial work. We emphasize informed choice, personal responsibility, confidentiality, and respect for individual boundaries. Community members are encouraged to consider their physical, emotional, and spiritual readiness and to seek qualified medical, psychological, or pastoral support where appropriate.
Our ceremonial spaces are held with attention to ethics, respect, and spiritual stewardship. Those serving in leadership or support roles are expected to uphold high standards of integrity, humility, and care for participants. We value trauma awareness, grounded facilitation, and a community ethos centered on dignity, consent, and non-exploitation.
We also believe it is essential to acknowledge the cultural and ecological dimensions of this work. Plant and animal medicines should never be approached casually or extractively. We encourage attitudes of reciprocity, conservation, and respect for Indigenous knowledge, while recognizing the importance of avoiding appropriation and honoring the communities from whom these traditions have been carried forward.
Above all, our approach is rooted in the belief that spiritual work should deepen compassion, accountability, and connection. Sacred medicines, where contemplated within a ceremonial context, are understood as part of a broader path of devotion that includes prayer, community, reflection, ethical living, and service.

Safety and Ethics
At Seed & Soul Ministries, we believe sacred work must always be held with care, respect, and integrity. The wellbeing of our community is at the heart of everything we do, and we are committed to creating a spiritual environment grounded in compassion, personal dignity, and responsible stewardship.
We ask that all ceremonial and ministry spaces be approached with humility, honesty, and mutual respect. We honor each person’s autonomy, boundaries, and lived experience, and we believe consent, confidentiality, and personal agency are essential to any meaningful spiritual work.
Those who serve in leadership or support roles are expected to act with humility, ethical responsibility, and genuine care for others. We do not tolerate coercion, exploitation, harassment, abuse of authority, or any behavior that compromises the safety or dignity of our community members.
We also recognize the importance of preparation, discernment, and integration. Spiritual experiences can be meaningful and deeply personal, and we encourage each individual to seek appropriate support for their physical, emotional, and mental wellbeing as needed.
Above all, we are committed to fostering a community rooted in reverence, kindness, accountability, and love. Our hope is to offer a space where people feel respected, supported, and invited into deeper connection with themselves, one another, and the sacred.
